With most of the UK workforce on a well earned Christmas break, the REC has paid tribute to the temporary, contract and interim staff who deliver crucial services during the holiday period.
The REC has also underlined the need to recognise the thousands of recruitment professionals who will also be on call 24/7 over Christmas to ensure that flexible workers are placed in crucial front line roles.

The REC's External Relations team has rounded off the year with a concerted campaign on the new pensions provisions which will apply to the temporary workforce from 2012.

The REC’s latest survey of employers shows positive signs for the UK’s labour market ahead of 2010. December’s JobsOutlook reported that 22 per cent of employers now say business is beginning to improve, compared to just one per cent in September.
