The General Social Care Council (GSCC) has confirmed to the REC that it is postponing its proposal to extend registration to the wider care workforce, including home care workers.

Figures released today by the Office of National Statistics have revealed the current number of people out of work has now reach 2.47 million, an increase of 88,000. However, there is still an upward trend in the number of young people aged between 18 and 24 who are unemployed.
