The Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) has confirmed to the REC that the current Protection of Vulnerable Adults Act (PoVA) First and List 99 ‘quick-checking’ facilities will remain in place until July 2010, following the launch of the Vetting and Barring Scheme this October.
